Every year, countless families will go on vacations and will travel across not only the United States but sometimes across the world. Whether couples are planning a trip or a family planning a summer family camping trip, there is no doubt that people love to travel. Some people like to go and find cabins for rent that they can stay in while enjoying the great outdoors. Other people love to go and camp out in the wilderness using just a tent.
Camping Is Popular
This paragraph will contain various statistics to prove that camping is incredibly popular, especially in the United States. The 2014 American Camper Report shows that 40.1 million Americans, or 14% of the United States population that is over the age of six, camped in the year of 2013. 57% of all campers who participated in regular outdoor activities as children, only one-quarter of nonparticipants were involved in outdoor activities while camping. Out of all campers surveyed, about 43% of campers planned their trips at least one month ahead of time.
The Institue of Education at Plymouth University conducted a recent study. This study revealed that 98% of parents said that camping makes their children appreciate and connect with nature. 95% stated that their kids were happier when they are camping, and 93% felt that it provided useful skills for later life. In the year 2013, the campground industry managed to generate about $5 billion in revenue. Another study was conducted by the Institute of Education at Plymouth University, this study revealed that parents believe their children appeared to be much happier while they were on a kid friendly vacation.
Camping Is Not For Everyone
I do not say this to be mean, but more or so because it is important to understand when you plan your vacation. If you are going to plan a camping trip, and it is your first time doing so, then you need to truly make sure that is the type of trip you want to embark on. Sleeping in a tent in the wilderness does not provide the same level of comfort that a hotel does. If you are someone that does not want to sleep in a tent, you can still enjoy the outdoors while going to a hotel at night or even a cabin.
Many people underrate the experience of renting and sleeping inside of a cabin. While it is obviously not the same exact experience as sleeping in a tent in the middle of a forest area, it is still worthwhile and closer to camping than staying in a hotel. A cabin is going to be located near more unorthodox areas. While a hotel or a motel is going to be located in a downtown area or near a city, a cabin is located more towards the woods or areas that you can explore that are not like downtown areas.
In conclusion, there are plenty of ways that you can enjoy camping without just a tent. You can take any type of vacation or trip you would like, and it will help you a lot if you plan it in advance.
